Мы обращаемся ко всем цивилизованным странам, для которых человеческая жизнь и достоинство являются неоспоримыми ценностями, лежащими в основании социальной жизни. Вы на собственном опыте знаете, что именно разделение этих ценностей позволяет вашим обществам развиваться. На признании этих ценностей строится политическая жизнь в ваших странах, какой бы противоречивой и конфликтной она ни была. Принципы справедливости и верховенства закона также опираются на признание безусловной ценности человеческой жизни и достоинства.

Беларусь — европейская страна, народ которой сегодня открыто и самоотверженно выступил на защиту жизни и достоинства граждан против авторитарного режима, показавшего всему миру, что он готов отстаивать свою власть в стране любой ценой. Наш протест направлен против политического устройства, при котором допустимы беззаконные преследования, избиения, пытки и физическое уничтожение невинных людей. Действующая власть, во главе с Александром Лукашенко, сегодня последовательно реализует именно такую политику, демонстративно игнорируя как нормы беларусской Конституции, так и международные соглашения, касающиеся соблюдения прав человека.

В сложившейся ситуации мы обращаемся к вам как нашим единомышленникам и просим оказать действенную поддержку беларусскому народу, которая поможет нам восстановить в стране соблюдение законности ради обеспечения безопасности для всех граждан и ради цивилизованного будущего для нашей страны. Чтобы это стало возможным, нам необходимо совместными усилиями добиться того, чтобы:

• в стране было остановлено насилие,
• были выпущены все политзаключенные,
• были проведены новые выборы Президента Республики Беларусь.

Мы убеждены, что беларусское общество готово самостоятельно решать судьбу своей страны, и надеемся на ваше содействие в инициировании переговорного процесса между Координационным советом и представителями действующей власти. Только мирные переговоры смогут вернуть Беларусь в русло законности и приверженности гуманистическим ценностям.
